In terms of convenience, it is worth noting the systems that allow you to transfer money online, using Polish and crediting to a bank card. TransferGo allows you to make transfers for free, but at the cost of time. Paysend, on the other hand, offers instant transfers for a fixed fee. Both systems offer bonuses in the form of referral programs. In turn, TransferWise bets on multi-currency and is more suitable for freelancers whose counterparties are located in different countries of the world.
The giants Western Union and MoneyGram continue to bet on customers from the offline world who prefer to deal with cash. Speed wins here. You can receive money in a bank branch of another country a few minutes after sending. But it can be expensive and not always convenient - you have to go to the branch, and they are not open 24 hours a day. If you need to make an instant transfer from online to offline - WU is an excellent choice.
SWIFT transfers are aimed at rather large sums of money, when security is of primary importance - the cost and speed of the transfer are secondary here.

Frequently Asked Questions
Prices for Polish taxis vary depending on several factors, including whether the trip occurs during the day or night, within the city, in the suburbs, or to a neighboring town, as well as whether the passenger has luggage, etc. There is a kind of division into three tariffs: the first, cheapest tariff - travel within the city; the second, more expensive, is applied when traveling outside the city; the third, most expensive, is for travel from one Polish city to another. The cost of the first tariff starts from 2 zlotys per kilometer (in corporations that have set the lowest price). There are companies that offer more expensive services here as well. When traveling outside the city limits, the so-called second tariff comes into effect, and the price of the trip increases by 50%. This tariff also applies on weekends and on days considered national or religious holidays. If it is necessary to travel to a neighboring city or municipality, the cost increases by another 50% (or twice the initial tariff). This is the third tariff, which is called "return," meaning the passenger effectively pays for the return of the empty car to the home city.
Taxi calling. Another great innovation is that in Poland, there is a single number for calling taxis, which is very easy to remember - 919. Additionally, you can use landline phones of various services. For example, in Warsaw, the following companies operate: Express Taxi - phone 196 63; Gold Taxi - phone 196 88; Super Taxi - phone 196 22; City Warsaw - phone 194 59.
There are numerous booking services for hostels in Poland, one of which we have specifically tested – booking.com. Other services are similar and differ only slightly, but we can recommend only the one we have tested ourselves. Be cautious when booking online – use only verified services. Otherwise, there is a risk of paying scammers and not receiving the ordered services.
Using the booking.com portal is quite simple – you just need to fill in all the fields of the request form and get the result. Let's imagine a short instruction on how to book a place in a hostel:
1. On the main page, select the hostel's address. To do this, enter the city in the "Place" field, and then a full list of available accommodations will be provided. You need to select a specific address or choose from all the offers in the city.
2. Specify the duration of your stay – the check-in and check-out dates.
3. The next section is "Are you traveling for work?" where you need to select "yes" or "no."
4. Select the number of people – separately for children and adults.
5. Click the "Check prices" button.
6. You will be provided with a full list of possible offers where you can book a room in a hostel. Pay attention that on the left, there will be a menu with a wide range of additional criteria "Select by criteria" – this will help narrow down the list of offers according to specific requests. First of all, you need to check the box in the "Hostels" section.
7. In the top menu, next to the language selection, there is a "Currency choice" item – you can set it in any currency or choose "Hotel currency."
8. When you click on a specific hostel offer, a page with detailed information will open. A little lower, the available rooms and their cost will be listed.
9. Select the appropriate one. To do this, in the row of the table with its description, in the "Select room" column, specify the room number (from the list provided).
10. After specifying the room, the "I'm booking" button will appear in the right column, which you should click.
11. Next, a potential resident's form will be offered for completion. The questions are standard, but it is important to remember that the full name must be filled in Latin letters, according to the spelling in the foreign passport.
12. Click the appropriate button and complete the booking.
For greater convenience, it is better to register on the booking.com website, linking your payment card to your profile. In this case, all payments will be made automatically, and checking in at a hostel in Poland will be easier.
Reviews about the work
More about jobs in Poland without language skills
Poland is a country where foreign workers may earn higher salaries than in their country of residence. In recent years, employers have increasingly experienced shortages of qualified specialists and general workers. For this reason, jobs in Poland without language skills have become popular among foreign candidates. They provide an opportunity to earn a stable income without advanced qualifications or extensive professional experience.
More about jobs that do not require language skills
It is not always necessary to speak Polish fluently to find a suitable job in Poland. Many foreign employees arrive without language skills or speak only basic Polish. Applicants should not immediately expect management positions or the highest salaries, but the labour market offers enough vacancies to find a suitable employment option.
Many jobs do not require regular communication with customers. These are usually physically demanding positions in warehouses, factories, gardens, greenhouses, cleaning companies and construction. Seasonal work involving the harvesting of fruit and vegetables is also popular. When officially employed, foreign workers must receive payment in accordance with their contract and applicable employment law.
The experience of foreign workers shows that legal employment with the required documents can provide a stable salary. For example:
- Fruit and vegetable picker – from PLN 22 per hour.
- General worker – from PLN 24 per hour.
- Warehouse employee – approximately PLN 25–30 per hour.
Employees may also be offered additional shifts, weekend work, public holiday work or overtime. The amount of additional payment depends on the employment contract, schedule and the employer’s rules. Extra working hours can increase the final monthly income.
This situation is connected with labour shortages in the Polish employment market. Employers value responsible, reliable and hardworking employees regardless of their nationality. Employees who perform their duties well may be offered a contract extension, a higher hourly rate or improved working conditions. Some employers also provide transport, accommodation or meals.
The most popular jobs in Poland without language skills
Foreign workers choose both long-term employment and seasonal jobs lasting from several weeks to several months. Construction is one of the more promising sectors. These jobs usually require good physical condition and stamina, while qualified positions require documented professional experience. Painters, engineers, plasterers and other skilled workers may receive higher-than-average salaries.
Applicants with relevant education or experience may find factory work without speaking Polish. Vacancies are available for welders, electricians, technologists, machine operators and other specialists. Salary levels depend on qualifications, professional experience, location and the particular company.
The service sector also offers vacancies for men and women. Possible positions include:
- waiter;
- cook;
- manicurist;
- beautician;
- hairdresser.
However, most of these roles involve customer communication, so at least basic Polish is normally required. A higher level of language knowledge provides access to more vacancies and better opportunities for professional development.
Clothing factories and manufacturing companies are popular employment options for women. These employers may provide training, work clothing and accommodation. Meals may also be included in some cases. Vacancies are also available for drivers, loaders and warehouse employees. Couples may be offered employment together and a private room in shared accommodation.
Agriculture is one of the most accessible sectors. Jobs are available on farms during the warmer months and in greenhouses throughout the year. These vacancies are often chosen by students and applicants without experience. Seasonal employment usually does not require language skills and is suitable for men, women and couples. Payment for collecting, sorting and packing flowers, vegetables and fruit depends on the hourly rate, number of hours or completed workload.
Which jobs offer the highest salaries?
Higher salaries are generally available in construction, shipbuilding, industry and qualified technical positions. Obtaining such jobs without experience may be difficult. Employers may require professional knowledge, certificates, licences or the completion of specialised courses.
Learning Polish increases the chances of receiving a more responsible and better-paid position. Even when starting with a basic job that does not require language skills, an employee may later receive a promotion by performing well, improving professional skills and learning the language.
At some companies, salary depends on productivity and the amount of work completed. Employees may receive bonuses for meeting production targets, working additional shifts or demonstrating high performance.
How can you determine whether a vacancy is worthwhile?
Foreign candidates may encounter advertisements where the actual conditions differ from those initially stated. To evaluate the real value of a vacancy, applicants should confirm the following details before signing the contract:
- The hourly salary.
- The cost of accommodation.
- Transport expenses to and from the workplace.
- Food costs and whether free meals are provided.
- Whether work clothing is required and who pays for it.
- The duties that must be performed each day.
- The number and duration of shifts.
- The number of days off.
- Additional payments for night, holiday and overtime work.
- Taxes and other deductions from the salary.
Using this information, applicants can calculate their actual weekly and monthly income and decide whether the vacancy is suitable and whether the salary will cover accommodation, food and transport expenses. When the final income is too low, it is advisable to consider other official vacancies from verified employers or registered recruitment agencies.
