Frequently Asked Questions

In terms of convenience, it is worth noting the systems that allow you to transfer money online, using Polish and crediting to a bank card. TransferGo allows you to make transfers for free, but at the cost of time. Paysend, on the other hand, offers instant transfers for a fixed fee. Both systems offer bonuses in the form of referral programs. In turn, TransferWise bets on multi-currency and is more suitable for freelancers whose counterparties are located in different countries of the world.

The giants Western Union and MoneyGram continue to bet on customers from the offline world who prefer to deal with cash. Speed wins here. You can receive money in a bank branch of another country a few minutes after sending. But it can be expensive and not always convenient - you have to go to the branch, and they are not open 24 hours a day. If you need to make an instant transfer from online to offline - WU is an excellent choice.

SWIFT transfers are aimed at rather large sums of money, when security is of primary importance - the cost and speed of the transfer are secondary here.

Prices for Polish taxis vary depending on several factors, including whether the trip occurs during the day or night, within the city, in the suburbs, or to a neighboring town, as well as whether the passenger has luggage, etc. There is a kind of division into three tariffs: the first, cheapest tariff - travel within the city; the second, more expensive, is applied when traveling outside the city; the third, most expensive, is for travel from one Polish city to another. The cost of the first tariff starts from 2 zlotys per kilometer (in corporations that have set the lowest price). There are companies that offer more expensive services here as well. When traveling outside the city limits, the so-called second tariff comes into effect, and the price of the trip increases by 50%. This tariff also applies on weekends and on days considered national or religious holidays. If it is necessary to travel to a neighboring city or municipality, the cost increases by another 50% (or twice the initial tariff). This is the third tariff, which is called "return," meaning the passenger effectively pays for the return of the empty car to the home city.

Taxi calling. Another great innovation is that in Poland, there is a single number for calling taxis, which is very easy to remember - 919. Additionally, you can use landline phones of various services. For example, in Warsaw, the following companies operate: Express Taxi - phone 196 63; Gold Taxi - phone 196 88; Super Taxi - phone 196 22; City Warsaw - phone 194 59.

There are numerous booking services for hostels in Poland, one of which we have specifically tested – booking.com. Other services are similar and differ only slightly, but we can recommend only the one we have tested ourselves. Be cautious when booking online – use only verified services. Otherwise, there is a risk of paying scammers and not receiving the ordered services.

Using the booking.com portal is quite simple – you just need to fill in all the fields of the request form and get the result. Let's imagine a short instruction on how to book a place in a hostel:

1. On the main page, select the hostel's address. To do this, enter the city in the "Place" field, and then a full list of available accommodations will be provided. You need to select a specific address or choose from all the offers in the city.
2. Specify the duration of your stay – the check-in and check-out dates.
3. The next section is "Are you traveling for work?" where you need to select "yes" or "no."
4. Select the number of people – separately for children and adults.
5. Click the "Check prices" button.
6. You will be provided with a full list of possible offers where you can book a room in a hostel. Pay attention that on the left, there will be a menu with a wide range of additional criteria "Select by criteria" – this will help narrow down the list of offers according to specific requests. First of all, you need to check the box in the "Hostels" section.
7. In the top menu, next to the language selection, there is a "Currency choice" item – you can set it in any currency or choose "Hotel currency."
8. When you click on a specific hostel offer, a page with detailed information will open. A little lower, the available rooms and their cost will be listed.
9. Select the appropriate one. To do this, in the row of the table with its description, in the "Select room" column, specify the room number (from the list provided).
10. After specifying the room, the "I'm booking" button will appear in the right column, which you should click.
11. Next, a potential resident's form will be offered for completion. The questions are standard, but it is important to remember that the full name must be filled in Latin letters, according to the spelling in the foreign passport.
12. Click the appropriate button and complete the booking.

For greater convenience, it is better to register on the booking.com website, linking your payment card to your profile. In this case, all payments will be made automatically, and checking in at a hostel in Poland will be easier.

Reviews about the work

More about jobs in Poland for men

In recent years, an increasing number of foreign workers have considered employment abroad. Poland remains one of the most popular destinations and offers a wide range of vacancies in manufacturing, construction, logistics, agriculture and services.

According to information from NBP (Narodowy Bank Polski), men represent a significant share of labour migrants. One of the main reasons is that jobs in Poland for men often provide higher earnings than similar employment in the candidate’s country of residence.

Main areas of employment

Jobs for men — factory workMen in Poland are frequently offered physically demanding jobs that require strength, stamina and good physical condition. The most popular sectors include:

  • construction;
  • factory and manufacturing work;
  • private workshops.

Jobs for men in Poland are not limited to painters, bricklayers and general labourers. Employers also recruit qualified specialists with relevant education and experience. Electricians, machine operators, welders, heavy vehicle drivers and other skilled professionals are in demand. These positions generally offer higher salaries.

Jobs in Poland for men in 2026: key advantages

Poland remains a popular employment destination for foreign workers for several reasons:

  • a large number of available vacancies;
  • higher salaries compared with many candidates’ countries of origin;
  • the possibility of obtaining official residence and employment documents;
  • relatively straightforward adaptation to local conditions;
  • European social standards;
  • legal protection for officially employed workers;
  • legal residence and employment with the required documents.

Warsaw, for example, is a modern European capital with developed infrastructure. New residential, commercial and industrial facilities are constantly being built. For this reason, jobs for men in Warsaw are often connected with construction, logistics, technical maintenance and manufacturing.

Ways to find employment

Men looking for jobs in Poland can use several methods:

  1. Search for an employer independently through specialised websites that publish current vacancies. Before accepting a position, candidates should verify the company, employment conditions and documents required to work legally in Poland.
  2. Contact an officially registered recruitment agency or staffing company. These organisations select vacancies according to the candidate’s experience, qualifications and preferences.

Before starting cooperation, candidates should verify the company’s registration details, authority to provide employment services, official website, contract and payment conditions. This helps reduce the risk of fraud.

Popular vacancies, salaries and working conditions

Below are the main employment sectors that are popular among foreign candidates.

Construction

Jobs in Poland for men — constructionConstruction jobs abroad for men include:

  • reinforcement worker;
  • formwork installer;
  • tiler;
  • plumber;
  • metal structure welder;
  • bricklayer and other specialists.

The usual schedule is 8–12 hours a day, 5–6 days a week. Shift duration depends on the employer and the particular construction project. Qualified construction vacancies generally require documented professional experience.

Payment may be calculated hourly or according to the amount of completed work. Rates depend on the profession, qualifications, region and employer. Many vacancies offer between PLN 22 and PLN 32 per hour, while highly specialised workers may receive higher rates.

Please note: construction companies do not always provide free accommodation or meals. These conditions should be confirmed before signing the contract.

Professional driver

Jobs in Poland for men — driverLogistics companies recruit drivers for domestic and international transport. Driving heavy vehicles generally requires category C or CE licences and other documents required for professional drivers.

Employers may require basic Polish or English language skills. Knowledge of foreign languages makes it easier to communicate with dispatchers, customers and transport company employees.

Work schedules are arranged individually and depend on the transport routes. International logistics may involve extended driving periods followed by scheduled rest. Earnings depend on the number of working days, routes, travel allowances and the employer’s conditions.

Domestic transport usually offers lower pay than international logistics. Vacancies are also available for taxi, courier, bus and passenger transport drivers. The appropriate driving licence and professional documents are mandatory.

Factory and manufacturing jobs

Jobs in Poland for men — manufacturingIn 2026, factory and manufacturing employment remains one of the most popular options for men in Poland. Common positions include:

  • packer;
  • wood-processing worker;
  • production-line sorter;
  • production operator;
  • workshop employee and other positions.

One of the main advantages is the possibility of finding employment without previous experience. Training is often provided directly at the workplace. Hourly rates depend on the vacancy, region, shift pattern and employee qualifications. The usual schedule is 8–12 hours a day, 5–6 days a week.

Factory work is available throughout the year, including during winter. Many employers or agencies provide accommodation near the workplace. Housing may be free or paid fully or partially by the employee.

Large companies are frequently located in major cities and industrial regions. Jobs for men in Kraków, for example, include vacancies in manufacturing, logistics, construction and services.

Age requirements depend on the employer and the physical demands of the specific position. Candidates should follow the requirements stated in the individual vacancy rather than assume that one age limit applies to every job.

How to find a job safely: advice and recommendations

Before travelling abroad for employment, candidates should follow several important rules:

  1. Consider vacancies in both major cities and smaller towns, where employers may offer better accommodation conditions.
  2. Verify the official registration of the employer, agency or recruitment company.
  3. Carefully review the contract, service price, payment procedure, refund conditions and responsibilities of both parties.
  4. Do not accept proposals involving altered, falsified or backdated documents.
  5. Do not transfer money to the personal accounts of unknown individuals without a contract, invoice or official payment instructions.
  6. Do not give the original passport to third parties. Copies of documents should only be submitted through the official communication channels of a verified company.

Candidates may consider either direct employment with an employer or official vacancies offered through registered agencies. The most important step is to verify the legality of the offer, documents, salary, accommodation and actual workplace.
